Washington DC Trip: History, Culture, and Education

The Washington DC trip immerses 5th and 6th grade scholars in history, culture, and education. Scholars visit the University of Maryland, Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, historical memorials (such as World War II Memorial and Martin Luther King Memorial), Black Lives Matter Plaza, and the Smithsonian African American Museum. These experiences foster empathy, social consciousness, and a sense of cultural pride.


College Tours: Inspiring Future Leaders

The College Tour for 7th and 8th grader scholars focuses on historical colleges and institutions. Scholars visit Tennessee State University, Fisk University, Meharry Medical College, Spelman College, Morehouse College, Clark, and Morris Brown. They also explore the Tennessee State Museum and the National Museum of African American Music. This tour promotes aspirations for higher education and instills a sense of pride and resilience within scholars.
